Professor Margalida Capellà analyzes the freedom of peaceful assembly in the ruling of the Supreme Court on the catalan “procés”

In an act held on Monday 4 November in Can Alcover (Palma), the professor of criminal law of the University of Valencia Antoni Llabrés and the professor of international public law of the UIB and Director of the LIDIB Margalida Capellà have outlined some of the main aspects of the ruling of the Supreme Court on the “process” of October 14. Professor Capellà explained a number of European law aspects (the European arrest warrants and the Preliminary Rulings) and analyzed the treatment of the right to freedom of peaceful assembly in the ruling of the Supreme Court, in relation to the most recent European Court of Human Rights’ case law.
